Hello My Name Is...
Mrs. Jessica Hess
Math 7th Grade
I graduated from East Central High School, and I went on to attend the University of the Incarnate Word. There I received a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with a double minor in Reading and Special Education. I am certified to teach early childhood to 6th grade all subjects as well as 4th-8th grade Math and Science.
I am a native born Texan; I’ve lived in Bexar/Wilson County since I was born. I am one of five children (second oldest), and we all have different skills. My older brother is intellectually disabled but is the best hugger I have ever met. If you are ever having a bad day you can bet that this 6 foot 200 pound guy will give you a hug and make your day better with smiles. My sister is a music education major at UIW,and my youngest siblings are twins (boy and girl) and are juniors at East Central High School. I also have my own little family which include my husband and almost 2 year old daughter.
Before I became an educator I waited tables for 4 years, worked in the payroll department at UIW, was a care assistant for a friend with severe cerebral palsy, and worked at the San Antonio Zoo in the education department.
Overall I have a passion for my family, education and animals.
