Hello My Name Is...
Mrs. Marsha Huggins
graduated from Hattiesburg High School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. I
started my college career at Mississippi State University. I also
attended Blinn College in Bryan, Texas. I graduated from Texas A&M
University with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology with a minor in Animal
Science. After moving to San Antonio, I attended classes at The
University of Texas at San Antonio and received my teaching
certification. My Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on
Instructional Technology was obtained from Houston Baptist University.
is my 25th year teaching at Kingsborough Middle School. I began as a
Special Education teacher focusing mainly on students with reading
difficulties. I began teaching Dyslexia classes twenty-two years ago. I
have taught all levels of reading from struggling readers to gifted
students. I have taught College Readiness classes, I even taught an ART class. This year I am teaching Dyslexia and ARI classes.
We will be using the Dyslexia Intervention Program (DIP.) This program provides intensive reading instruction for students significantly below grade level. It helps students make rapid gains in reading and writing.

Reading Instruction (ARI) class is for students struggling with
reading. This class is a center based class. Centers include a listening
center, a computer center utilizing Istation, a writing center and a
teacher led center.
