Hello My Name Is...
Mrs. Rebecca Martinez Tey
Science 8th Grade
I am so excited about teaching Science; Ihave taught 8th grade Math and Algebra 1, also at Kingsborough MiddleSchool, so some of the older siblings may know me for that, and while Iloved being in the Math department, my passion has always been forScience, and now, here I am. Also, I am the Student Council Sponsor, soI hope that many of you consider and make it a priority to join or getinvolved. I believe it is very important that you be actively involvedin your school and in the community.
Beforeteaching, I worked for the City of San Antonio in the BuildingInspections Department as a Permit Writer, then for the Rape CrisisCenter as an Administrative Assistant, and finally as a Grant Writer forProject MEND.
Ireceived my Bachelors of Science degree from Texas A&M UniversityKingsville, in 2006. I began teaching 7th grade Math at Truman MiddleSchool in the Edgewood Independent School District then 8th grade Mathat Kingsborough Middle School.
I am married and have two younger children, whom you will probably see at dances or after school events.
I absolutelylove what I am doing and why I am doing this. So if I seem overlycheerful, it's because I am, and that's not a bad thing. I am lookingforward to what this year brings.
Here's to a great and prosperous year..........

I really enjoyed reading these books. They each give you somethingto really think about. How things could be so dramatically changed andhow we as individuals and as a society would handle these changes.
All these books can be found at the Public Library.
